Lanka T10 Draft for Player
The Lanka T10 draft is scheduled will be held on November 10, 2024, in Colombo. Lanka T10 plays between December 12 to December 22. The Sri Lanka Cricket Fastest Competition city-based tournament features six franchise teams packed with both local and international talent.
Each team will build its roster of 15 to 17 players, and franchises have until November 1 to finalize player registrations. By November 5, teams must also secure six players directly, picking an Icon player, a Platinum player, and four Category A and B players — each category including one Sri Lankan and one overseas player.
Players Salaries and Categories In Lanka T10
Lanka T10 draft itself will unfold over 11 rounds. In the opening round, a manual draw will determine the order, while the following rounds will use a randomized system to ensure fair play. In the first two rounds, teams will select two top-tier players — one Sri Lankan and one international — each contracted at $35,000 (Category A). The next two rounds will add another pair of players, also one Sri Lankan and one overseas, for $20,000 each (Category B).
Rounds five through seven will allow teams to choose three players — two local and one international — priced at $10,000 each (Category C). Round eight will spotlight emerging Sri Lankan talent for $2,500, while round nine focuses on young players from Zimbabwe and the West Indies, with the same price tag.
