Franchise League Career
On June 3, 2018, he became a member of the Winnipeg Hawks, during the players’ draft, for the very first edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament. After the 2018-19 Bangladesh Premier League draft, in October 2018, he was drafted into Khulna Titans’ squad.
He participated in the 13th season of the Indian Premier League in 2020 in which he plied his trade with Kolkata Knight Riders after signing for the franchise. He was first American cricketer who was bought in IPL auction but he did not feature in a single match.
He started playing for Karachi Kings on March 15, 2020, against Quetta Gladiators where he bowled 3 overs conceding 36 runs and getting a wicket.
Ali Khan faced disciplinary action during the 2019 Caribbean Premier League in which he had heated a confrontation with batsman Evin Lewis while participating in a game between St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders. In July 2020, he was named in the Trinbago Knight Riders squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. He was added to the Houston Hurricanes for the 2021 Minor League Cricket season.
